2009 NYS 4-H Shooting Sports Recognition Banquet & Auction
April 18 at Roaring Brook Resort, Lake George
This event is the major source of funding for this program!

Games in the 2009 Event
The rules for playing each game will be given the night of the auction.  The Friends of 4-H Shooting Sports want everyone to be able to play and to be a winner!

    This game supports the NYS 4-H Shooting Sports Scholarship of $1,000!

Auction Items in the 2009 Event
The items will be divided among the Live, Silent & Ticket Drop areas

  1. “Artist of the Year:” Mr. Richard Johnson of Greenfield Center New York is the 4-H Artist of the Year.  A sampling of Mr. Johnson’s framed photography will be included in the Live, Silent and Ticket Drop venues.  Mr. Johnson will be present to sign his fine art.  The artist is finding a growing following in the Northeast.
  2. “Gun of the Year:” A Henry Golden Boy .22 cal. engraved by world re-known Baron Technology, Inc. The Henry, with an extra fine walnut stock, is “Simply the best.” 
  3. “Knife of the Year:" A Canal Street Cutlery Limited Edition pocket knife engraved by Baron Technology, art that can be carried for many generations.  These Limited Edition knives made for our 10th Anniversary Banquet have already sold!  The auction is your only opportunity to own this knife.
  4. “A Tackle Box of Dreams!” The known and the unknown, where a single lure could pay for the whole tackle box, compliments of Black Bass Antiques of Bolton Landing.
  5. Brian Ruth’s Masters of the Chainsaw wood carvings will again be featured in the auction.  Two of the popular bear motifs:
    1. A “Welcome Bear” with a reversible sign
    2. For the first time a bear head carving for a den or camp.
