Debbie's interest in art began when she was a young girl. Her parents, Carole and the late Bud Ganson, encouraged her interest in art. As her talent grew Debbie's father told her she, "had a talent from God and it should not be wasted." So, despite her lack of for-mal training in art, Debbie pursued her passion and launched a career in art.

Her work consists primarily of paintings of wildlife, landscapes, and pet portraits. Deb-bie's paintings can be found on many different surfaces, such as canvas, saw blades, tree fungus, antlers, game calls, and wood. She also enjoys drawing scenes of nature in graphite. However, her search to create her own niche in the art world, led Debbie to choose the wild turkey feather as her canvas of choice.

The realistic, detailed approach that Debbie has mastered has drawn much attention to her work. She works with many hunting and sporting organizations such as the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ruffed Grouse Society, Sa-fari Club International, and Ducks Unlimited. Debbie has been chosen as the 2011 Artist of the Year by the New York State 4-H Shooting Sports Program.  Debbie's artwork will be featured at the 2011 New York State 4-H Shooting Sports Banquet & Auction to be held on Saturday, April 16 at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George, NY.

Debbie and John display her artwork at various sportsman shows and craft fairs throughout the United States. They offer original paintings and drawings, prints, note cards and bookmarks. Debbie also takes orders for original custom work. She creates personal treasurers of cherished pets, hunt memories and more with her feather art. Debbie and John personally frame all of the art work and offer a wide selection of mat and framing options.
