Program Goals:
The Albany County 4-H Shooting Sports program
will:
Continue to increase youth participation
Provide additional training opportunities
for volunteers
Secure an outdoor site for air rifle
Continue to expand inventory of shooting
sports equipment and supplies.
2008 Highlights:

Forty nine youth and ten adult volunteers
participated in program.

Overall
increase of youth attendance by 20%.

Three
outdoor archery sessions offered.
-
One
indoor air rifle session offered.
-
Two
Living History project days offered.
-
Over
650 people visited 4-H Shooting Gallery
at the Altamont Fair.
-
Added
three genesis bows to equipment inventory.
-
Two
youth participated in the NYS Shoot in
Chemung County.
-
Established
a county-wide shooting sports club.
