Madison County 4-H Shooting Sports
Annual Report - 2008

Program Goals:

The Madison County 4-H Shooting Sports program will:

  • Have at least one active shooting sports related club with 6-10 members.
  • Youth will complete project records to document what they’ve learned.
  • Youth will be involved in planning, implementing and evaluating activities.
  • Host at least one multi-discipline 4-H Shooting Sports training program per year, training at least 8-10 youth per year.
  • Offer a minimum of 3 disciplines (muzzleloading, air rifle, and rifle) in the fundamentals program.
  • Work with other counties and NYS 4-H Shooting Sports, to allow Madison County youth to attend at least one regional/multi-county/regional 4-H Shooting Sports event per year.
  • Offer additional programming based on instructor & equipment availability.
  • Develop a system for equipment storage and equipment security. Long term goal for this project:
    Establish 1-2 more clubs.
    Recruit 3-4 more instructors who will be trained in different disciplines such as: archery, shotgun and living history.
